Movits! Riding a wave of underground popularity following their appearance last summer on ”The Colbert Report,” swingin’ Swedish hip-hop group Movits! returned to American soil this month for a 15-show tour. Their goal: First we take Manhattan – then, every place else.
Their debut album, ”Äppleknyckarjazz,” (”Apple-Swiper Jazz”), released in November 2008, was a refreshing, irresistible amalgam of acoustic hip-hop, jazz and Benny Goodman-style swing.
