Meet Reidar Jönsson, a Swedish writer, director and playwright.
His international breakthrough came in 1983 with his novel My Life as a Dog which was turned into a film in 1985. The film won two Golden Rams and a Golden Globe Award and received two Oscar nominations for best film and best screenplay. Following the success of My Life as a Dog, Jönsson stayed in Hollywood and worked until the mid-1990s as a writer for the major studios. As a consultant, he then developed 70+ feature screenplays plus financing for 25 feature films including multinational productions. Jönsson continues to write novels and screenplays, along with teaching. In 2012, he published the novel Dogs Paradise as the last installment of his Dog Trilogy, now regarded as a classic in Swedish literature.
Vad mitt öga såg (What My Eyes Saw) about the conflict between Palestine and Israel, arrived in 2013, and in August 2016 came The Caregiver.
