Nationaldagen dinner has become a Seattle tradition. The evening starts with a champagne reception for “The Red House in the Forest: Color in the Swedish Cultural Landscape,” Robert Steelquist’s photography exhibit of Swedish red houses.
Then Chef Christine will prepare a wonderful menu of Swedish-style trout with dill and lemon.
We’ll meet Seattle’s new Honorary Swedish Consul, Petra Hilleberg, who’s coming to announce the Swede of the Year.
The Swedish Singers of Seattle will perform for us, including the end-of-school favorite of Swedish children, Den blomstertid nu kommer.
