Small Cannes prize to Sweden
Sweden received a smaller prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The short film “Pleasure” by Ninja Thyberg, won the Canal+ Award. “It feels surreal yet great. The prize means that the film will be shown at Canal+ and reach a huge audience,” Thyberg says. The winning short film at Cannes was the Russian film “Come and play”.
The short film "Pleasure" about the porn industry has been described as "Shocking but interesting" and was the only Swedish film at Cannes this year.
