Environmental organizations in Sweden and Denmark want to make �resund (the sound that separates the two countries) a protected marine area. The majority of the municipalities in both countries are keen to the idea, and it is now up to the governments to think over the proposal. �The thought is to preserve the sound long-term. We need mutual regulations in how we handle this,� says Peter G�ransson, chairman of the organization �resundsfonden, who took the initiative.
