The American Swedish Historical Museum in Philadelphia offers a way to find out what really goes on.

Ever wondered what it’s really like during night at the museum? The American Swedish Historical Museum has announced a “Museum Camp Out with Pippi”. With the theme of the current exhibition, Do You Know Pippi Longstocking?, families are invited to bring their sleeping bags and join in a fun, overnight experience on October 17-18.

Kids can learn about Pippi’s adventures, play Pippi’s favorite games, and make Pippi’s favorite pepparkakor (ginger bread) cookies for a snack. Curl up at the end of the night with some blankets and your favorite stuffed animals to watch a movie, then pick a cozy spot to sleep in one of the museum’s galleries. An evening snack and breakfast is provided by the museum.
For ages 6 and up, children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required, space is limited. $35 per person for members and $45 per person for non-members. To register, call (215) 389-1776 or go online atwww.americanswedish.org/calendar.htm.
