Princess Estelle celebrates Christmas

Sweden's little princess helps with Christmas trees and hams it up for the camera.

Image

H.R.H.Princess Estelle, who will be 3 in February, is celebrating her third royal Christmas this year. On Wednesday she joined her mother, Crown Princess Victoria in accepting Christmas trees for the Royal Palace from students of a special education in forestry (Jägmästarutbildning) at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Umeå, in northern Sweden. Since the late 1960s, SLU has been giving Christmas trees to the Royal Palace and selling trees in Stockholm to raise funds for study trips. The fir variety Nordmanns shown here is now called the King's fir.
In time for the holidays, the Royal Family has also released photo postcards, made available for purchase at the Royal Palace on December 5. They aren't Christmas-themed, but diehard fans of the royal family might still use them for holiday greetings — as well as year-round. The postcards of King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia are very regal, while those of Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and Princess Estelle are more casual family photos. The adorable Estelle is seen stealing the show in this photo collection.

A special Christmas greeting from Haga Castle, Stockholm: Julhälsning från Haga (Swedish language)
