The Olympic Summer Games are over

All of the Nordic nations competed and competed well throughout the games and brought home a total of 31 medals.

The 2016 Olympic Games are over. Denmark comes home with 15 medals; two golds, in women’s 50 meter freestyle swimming and the top medal for the men’s handball team; Sweden 11 medals, two golds, in women’s 100 meter butterfly and in women’s cross-country mountain bike (a look at Sweden's medals: Eleven medals for Sweden; Norway, more of a winter sports nation, secured 4 medals, all of them bronze, in rowing, handball and wrestling; Finland one medal, a bronze in boxing and, while Iceland’s Eyglo Gustafsdottir did really well in the women’s 200 meter backstroke the nation left Rio without a medal.
Next summer olympics will be in Tokyo 2020.
