Washington State and the Swedish Consulate Proclaim May 2-9 'Sweden Week.'

The Nordic Heritage Museum is a part of Seattle Sweden Week.
Highlights:

* Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden visits the Emerald City for the first time during Sweden Week.

* Scandinavia's über-hot designers will be in town to present an "Arctic Summer: A Nordic Fashion Show," May 8, at the Nordic Heritage Museum.

* Free public lectures, May 3-6, presented by the UW Scandinavian Department in celebration of its 100-year anniversary.

* In collaboration with SIFF, a special screening of Swedish film "Everlasting Moments", May 5.

*A dinner in honor of Swedish humanitarian Raoul Wallenberg at the Seattle Marriot Waterfront.

* Grand Opening kick-off Sunday, May 2 at Westlake Plaza 11am-2pm featuring traditional "fika" by Svedala Bakery, Swedish Hospital's Teddy Bear Clinic, notable speakers, and more.
