Nordic products in Philadelphia

A new Scandinavian store with everything from art glass and quality textiles to candy recently opened outside Philadelphia.

Scandaffären, a new Scandinavian store just outside Philadelphia, PA (“Scand” is of course an abbreviation of Scandinavia and “affären” in this case literally means “the store” in Swedish.)

Whether you are purchasing a gift, decorating your home or satisfying your sweet cravings, Scandaffären wants to offer the best shopping experience on the web and in the store. You'll find all favorite confectionaries of Scandinavia (known as godis, konfekter, slik or kakki) and other staples, including art glass and fine ceramics or quality textiles for the home. Finnish products are included in the store's product range, since Finland although not a part of Scandinavia, shares many of the same traditional crafts along with modern, cutting edge designs that the founders of Scandaffären felt should be made available to customers.

Doreen and Sten Sundelin have begun bringing products from all of the Nordic countries to the Philadelphia area. The grand opening of the store at 890 Lancaster Avenue in Devon, PA was the weekend of June 13 and 14, 2015.
