Fargo North Dakota Public Library will present a lecture by Dr. James Kaplan, professor emeritus of French at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Dr. Kaplan will speak on Scandinavian Crime Fiction Today. Scandinavian detective novels have been enjoying a world-wide vogue and have had huge successes as books, on TV and in films. Featured in Dr. Kaplan�s presentation will be �Jar City� by Icelandic author Arnaldur Indridason, �Redbreast � by Norwegian author Jo Nesb� and �The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo� by Swedish author Stieg Larsson.
