Drei deutsche Unternehmen – eine außergewöhnliche Uhr
Drei renommierte deutsche Unternehmen aus der Uhrenbranche – Sinn Spezialuhren zu Frankfurt am Main, die Sächsische Uhrentechnologie Glashütte (SUG) und die Uhren-Werke-Dresden (UWD) – haben sich zu einem spannenden Projekt zusammengefunden. Zum ersten Mal seit Jahrzehnten wurde im März 2016 eine neue deutsche Industrienorm für Uhren veröffentlicht: die DIN 8330 Fliegeruhren. Grundlage dieser Norm ist der TESTAF (Technischer Standard Fliegeruhren). Die neue DIN 8330 Fliegeruhren vereinheitlicht, präzisiert, systematisiert und aktualisiert die für den TESTAF bereits entwickelten Prüfungen.

Sie hat schon Tradition, die Fulda Challenge, die kälteste Extremsport-Veranstaltung der Welt, berühmt für ihren arktischen Zehnkampf. Ort des Geschehens: das im Nordwesten von Kanada gelegene Yukon-Territorium. Die Athleten legten 2.000 Kilometer über Eis- und Schotterpisten zurück, um die einzigartige Kombination aus Abenteuer und sportlicher Grenzerfahrung hautnah zu erleben. Mit am Start waren Raffael Zeller und der EZM 9 TESTAF. Dank ausgezeichneter Ergebnisse belegte er bei den Herren den 2. Platz in der Einzelwertung. Do you need to buy a separate latch for this to be used in a closet?
I am thinking about purchasing these... I need passage, dummy and locked knobs. Can these be converted to be used for all? I understand that I need to buy the rosettes separately... Thank you!

I bought mine a few days ago and tried to put them on my bedroom door. The kit came with everything you need, the 2 knobs, the spindle for the middle and the "guts, plus the 2 latches, one that goes on the wall and one that goes on the side of the door, plus the screws that are needed. The knob I was replacing was a brassy color and the hardware for the new knobs is a satin finish requiring me to change everything so it would match. They do have kits where all you get is the 2 knobs and the spindle. They do have dummy and passage knobs but I am not sure about locked ones.

are these door knobs designed to be used on a regular internal door? And is there a privacy option for bathrooms and washrooms?

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. These door knobs are actually designed for internal use only, but not for the standard 2-1/8 inch bore commonly drilled out in doors. This knob set only requires a 3/4 inch bore. They can be used if the larger 2-1/8 inch hole is there, but you'll have to fill and patch the hole first so the rosettes will have a solid surface to mount to. Great for the price!
If you're looking for glass knobs on a budget, this one is a winner. Be careful not to twist them too much because the center piece will pop through the knobs. I paired these with some old brass plates I found at a re-purpose store. They turned out looking great at a mere $10 a set.

This product looks very nice and is easy to install.
Very nice product my only issue is the rosettes need to be a little larger so you can attach the wood screws to the door. If you door hole is already cut the rosettes will not attach to the door. Overall a very nice product.

Do not hold up
Tried these in my 1920's vintage rental houses. Used for bedroom and close doors. The glass breaks where it meets the metal base. They may work for you in your home if you are gentle, but not durable at all. I'm changing to all-metal knobs.

We needed a new doorknob for the bathroom. The old one had worn out and the internal threads were stripped. This purchase is fairly attractive and matched the decor. It's certainly not a high quality product in terms of materials or production, but it gets the job done until we will replace the entire door next spring and replace the hinges and lock set with high quality hardware. I can not speak to the durability or quality yet, since Home Depot sent this survey fairly soon after the purchase. I would not swap out all the doorknobs in the house with this product, but if you need one for repair, I think it will do the job for a year or two.
