The exhibit in the main gallery of the Museum is featuring “Swedish Dads” a photography exhibit focusing on paternity leave in Sweden. A number of events will be held in connection to this exhibit. This first one will be held by the National Nordic Museum.
Join us for the first-ever virtual collaboration between the National Nordic Museum and the American Swedish Institute as we celebrate the simultaneous showing of Johan Bävman’s Swedish Dads photography exhibition. In these discussion-based talks, Johan will shed light on the stories behind the photographs and on Sweden’s generous paternal leave policy. Each talk will be unique, covering different works on view—so sign up for one, or both!
For this talk Johan Bävman will join the Museum’s Director of Collections, Exhibitions and Programs, Leslie Anne Anderson, for a talk on the exhibit and the generous paternal leave system that make it possible for Swedish fathers to stay home with their young children.
