You are invited to visit www.sv.opera.se for further information:

About the opera: This work about four young artists’ struggle for their daily bread in Paris at the turn of the century, as well as the love story between the seamstress Mimì who suffers from a lung disease and the poet Rodolfo, will never cease to captivate its audience. As well as containing absolute charms of operatic literature such as “What a cold little hand” and “They call me Mimì” and Musetta’s waltz aria, it also poses important questions about what it means to be a grown-up, to take one’s responsibility and to accept the conditions of reality in order to survive.

About the opera house: When architect Jan Izikowitz was drawing the opera house he found inspiration in the world of opera. But also in the splendid fairytale landscape surrounding Gothenburg harbour. Silhouettes of ships, hulls, wind-filled sails, bridges and harbour cranes can be seen in the architecture of the building.

After the performance seats for dinner have been reserved at the famous Swedish Taste Restaurant, just opposite the opera house. At www.swedishtaste.nu you can read more about this renowned establishment including that: swedish taste was founded at the turn of the century and is now owned and run by Magnus Lindström, Chef of the Year 2003 and a member of the Swedish Culinary Team, together with Per Blomqvist, sommelier and Sweden's first ever lecturer in beverages. Everyone who works at Swedish Taste has a common mission: to offer "Innovative experiences within food and beverages".
