Claus Riedel was the first person in the long history of the glass to design its shape according to the character of the wine. He is thus the inventor of the functional wine glass. His grandson Maximilian Riedel is visiting Stockholm for the second time and is conducting a fascinating, educational and enjoyable wine and glass tasting. Maximilian Riedel will demonstrate the relationship between the shape of a glass and our perception and enjoyment of fine wines.

Maximilian Riedel, CEO of Riedel Crystal of America is also a designer of the globally successful ?O? line,and many of Riedels best selling decanter designs. His decanter ?Swan? won the ?The Red Dot Design Award? in 2009 ? one of design worlds most prestigious prises.
