The Nordic Family Genealogy Center will be holding a Swedish Research Day on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., where representatives of SwedGen Tour 2011 will be present: four experienced genealogists from Sweden and three representatives from Lantmäteriet, the Swedish mapping center. The SwedGen Tour 2011 group is touring the United States to teach Swedish-Americans how to find their roots and to do Swedish research.

The Swedish Research Day will include presentations and demonstrations on how to use the various resources for Swedish genealogical and historical research. There will be presentations on Swedish genealogical resources, both CD and online; tips on how to research in the Swedish church books; tax registers and probate records; and how to find Swedish historical maps.
