Emil of Lonneberga Bay Area Childrens Theatre in Berkeley - The Bay Area Children's Theatre will perform Emil of Lnneberga at the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley on Saturdays and Sundays between December 10 and December 22, 2011.

The beloved children's book about the adventures of Emil of Lnneberga is written by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. In her books you get to follow the life of Emil and his family on a small farm in Smland, Sweden about 100 years ago. Emil is a very clever and resourceful little boy, he may look like an angel but he just cant seem to stay out of trouble.

In this new adaptation for the stage by Miles Nye, Emil, his little sister Ida, and the other characters are charming, lifelike puppets, manipulated Bunraku-style by puppeteers who appear on stage with them.

When: Saturdays and Sundays, December 10 22, 2011, at 2 pm

Where: Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse, 2020 Addison St, Berkeley, CA 94704
