Tjugondedag Knut Fest at the Scandinavian Club, 1351 S. Pine Creek Rd., Fairfield, CT. The four Connecticut AUSS choruses will sing Christmas out at the traditional end to the Swedish Christmas season. Enjoy ring dances around the Christmas tree, plunder it of its candy and toss it out the door! Home made refreshments and a raffle top off the fun afternoon. Donation: $7.00.

Twentieth Day Yule, traditionally celebrated in Sweden and Finland on January 13 (not celebrated in Denmark despite being named for Saint Canute, the patron saint of Denmark). Celebrating the end of Christmas, a day when traditionally the Christmas tree was removed and candies or cookies hanging in the tree were eaten (This part of the tradition is called Julgransplundring..)

FInns call this day nuutinpäivä.
