KUBB, a Viking Throwing game, offered by We R Able, July 28

When the Vikings were looking for recreation a thousand years ago, some researchers say they played KUBB, a game like Bocce Ball, using throwing sticks and blocks of wood. Jed Bingham, of Cambridge, will teach and lead the game on Saturday July 28, at the downtown Rush City park. Between two and 12 players can participate in each game. Pre-registration is encouraged and there is a modest fee to participate. We R Able is the sponsor. For more information or registration call 320-358-1220 or visit Wikipedia to learn about the game. The next KUBB date is August 25.

We R Able provides programs for adults with disabilities in a four-school district area: Pine City, Rush City, North Branch, and Chisago Lakes. All programs are accessible and open to the general public.
