Nacka Musikklasser (Nacka Music Classes) was founded in 1984 in Nacka, a town situated just outside Stockholm. Nacka Musikklasser has 300 students altogether, between the ages of 9 and 16. Nacka Musikklasser perform in many concerts annually. Every year the ninth graders (aged 15-16) travel abroad to further their musical experiences, but this is the first visit to the United States. The concert program will be a mix of Swedish traditional music and modern pop arrangements.
