Amerika ? drömmarnas land (America ? land of dreams) is both a personal and political history of the United States. Through interviews and travels, encounters and impressions from the Pacific to the Atlantic, Klas Bergman describes his America ? the America he met when he first arrived in Los Angeles in June 1960, to the America of today.

Klas Bergman was born in Stockholm, and arrived in the USA as a college student. He was Dagens Nyheter's correspondent in the US for many years, and has also worked for American press and television. He lives in Washington, D.C.
