Scandinavian Crime Novels today

The Fargo Public Library will present a lecture by Dr. James Kaplan, professor emeritus at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Dr. Kaplan will speak on Swedish Crime Fiction Today. Scandinavian detective novels are enjoying a world-wide vogue right now and have had huge successes as books, on TV and in films. Featured will be works by Swedish authors Helene Tursten, Ake Edwardson, Camilla Lackberg, and Stieg Larsson. Detective novels are a fine opportunity to learn about the real lives of Swedish people today. The program is free and open to the public.
