Join us for a presentation by Faith L. Walls. While spending one year in Sweden, she researched how immigration affects education, in particular at bullying/relational aggression among girls in a multi-cultural school setting. As a visiting researcher at Stockholm University’s Department of Child and Youth Studies, Walls worked with 6th grade girls at two elementary schools in Södertälje, one of the heaviest immigrant-populated municipalities in all of Sweden. Södertälje has immigrants from Iraq, Finland, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, and many other countries. Walls is a recipient of the Malmberg Scholarship by American Swedish Institute of Minneapolis for this project.

Cost: $15 members, $20 non-members. Pizza and Salad will be served before the presentation.
