Waffle Day, "Våffeldagen" is celebrated on March 25, the feast of Marie Bebådelsedagen or Annunciation Day. That was the day the Archangel Gabriel announced to the Virgin Mary that she had been chosen to be the mother of Jesus. Swedes have found a great way of celebrating this day–we eat waffles! At the Museum we will celebrate Våffeldagen on Monday, March 25. We will begin serving delicious Swedish waffles at 10 a.m. Cost: $5 per serving. |
