Come to the Embassy of Sweden for an evening of dancing. Washington's Spelmanslag will join Skaran for an hour-long traditional dance workshop followed by social dance and performances of traditional Swedish music. There will also be "fika" - baked goods and sweets- for sale during the breaks.

The young band Skaran has been described as an explosive trio that charms audiences around the world with their fascinating instruments, contagious groove, and energetic presence - and is one of Sweden's most popular folk bands right now.

Joining Skaran is Washington's Spelmanslag, a band consisting of musical friends living in the Greater Capital Area of Washington DC, playing Swedish traditional music together.
