Festival opens with Childrens Parade and dancing around the Maypole. Crafts and games for children and horse-drawn wagon rides. Musical entertainment throughout the day by Nordikids Childrens Group, Chicago Spelmanslag and Dark of the Moon Contra-Band. Bonfire lighting and tradition toast beginning at sunset. Bring you own picnic basket and beverages or enjoy traditional foods for sale by various Scandinavian organizations. Donation: $5.00 per adult, FREE for children 12 and under, FREE parking. |
