Craft School: Care for Your Costume Taking care of traditional dress and textiles. Join Lisa Hill-Festa, Curator of Collections, and the Museum’s curatorial team for a workshop on the care, display, and storage of textiles and a behind-the-scenes tour of our costume storage.

If there is a traditional costume or heirloom clothing in your family, it can survive for generations with proper care. Learn the museum’s tricks and techniques for caring for our textile collection and the different ways you can safely show or store your pieces. In conjunction with the Dressing Swedish exhibition, our curators will show you the different tools and accessories they use on museum collections, and give you tips for adapting them for home use.

You will go home with patterns, directions for making museum-quality storage fixtures, and other useful information on caring for important textiles.

Cost: $25 for Members; $30 for Non-Members.

Register online or enroll by calling Jeremy Ehrlich at 206-789-5707, ext. 21.
