Craft School: Nalbinding and Viking Knitting with Amelia Garripoli
Nalbinding: Saturday, November 2, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Viking Knitting: Sunday, November 3, 9:00 a.m. - noon
Master Class: Sunday, November 3, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Learn one or both of these ancient knitting techniques in a weekend of workshops with Amelia Garripoli.

On Saturday, make a hat with the ancient technique of nalbinding, using only a yarn needle and short lengths of wool. Learn about shaping using increases, making hats from the top down. Please bring 4-6 ounces of worsted weight yarn, a sharp needle, and scissors.

On Sunday morning, study Viking jewelry making. Viking knitting uses no knitting needles or yarn: form a knit structure with wire, then shape a graceful bracelet and add handmade findings.

Garripoli leads a master class on Sunday afternoon where you can continue work on your hat or bracelet, or start your next project.

Cost: Nalbinding is $75 for Members; $80 for non-Members. Viking Knitting & the Master Class are $40 each for Members; $45 each for non-Members.
