Two Great Swedish Humanitarians: Raoul Wallenberg and Dag Hammarskjold. Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg courageously saved thousands of Jews in Nazi-occupied Budapest at the end of the Second World War. Another great Swedish humanitarian is Dag Hammarskjöld who served as Secretary General of the United Nations during the Cold War years of the fifties. Both men lost their lives in the course of their humanitarian service. Both men show that one person can make a difference. Dr. James Kaplan, Professor Emeritus at Minnesota State University Moorhead will speak on these two heroes.
