Join us for the opening celebration for our newest exhibit, Dressing Swedish: From Hazelius to Salander, on Friday, Jan. 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

About the exhibit:
What does it mean to dress Swedish? Dressing Swedish gathers an abundance of costumes that speak to the rich diversity of the Swedish people, both past and present. The Dressing Swedish exhibition contributes to the topic of embodiment of culture and culture on display. With focus on Sweden and Swedish-American culture the exhibition shows how cultural heritage is created and re-created through dressing.

The exhibit was produced by the Multicultural Center Sweden with support by the Swedish Embassy, the Swedish Institute and Swedish Arts Council. Dressing Swedish is curated by Lizette Gradén, Nordic Heritage Museum, and Charlotte Hyltén-Cavallius, Multicultural Center Sweden.
