ELSA NILSSON
Swedish-born flute player Elsa Nilsson's music is profoundly playful and widely influenced. She believes the beauty of music is how it transcends boundaries, and she accentuates this in her compositions by mixing cultural elements to create a sound distinctly her own. Nilsson has built a solid career and reputation upon her belief that all folk music (including jazz) has a common thread, and that by weaving those threads together, a deeper, more layered understanding among varying cultures can be reached. Nilsson successfully released two full-length albums: 'Glans', in 2009, and her sophomore effort 'Best Left Alone', in 2010. Her latest offering, 'Already There Yet', is her most impressive work to date. Nilsson's mentor, Robert Dick, praises the compilation saying: "Do you hear that sound from the Northern skies? It's Elsa Nilsson with something new, passionate and beautiful to say with her flute and her pen."

DAVY MOONEY
Molding the modern musical sophistication of New York with the soul of New Orleans is the mission of Jazz Artist Davy Mooney. ‘Perrier St’, his latest CD release, takes its title from the New Orleans street where a teenaged Mooney studied at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. It combines the faded memories of that time with the journey that followed, expressed in melodic, harmonically complex music with literate, wistful lyrics. A well-accomplished musician, Mooney studied at the Monk Institute of Jazz Performance from 2007-2009, recorded a CD of his original compositions for the Japanese Label Spice Records entitled ‘Astoriano’, and performed in Japan, Brazil, India, Panama, Poland, Mexico, Germany, and all over the continental US alongside jazz luminaries including Brian Blade, Jon Cowherd, and Herbie Hancock.
