Based on the best-selling book by local author David Guterson, Snow Falling on Cedars (1999) stars legendary Swedish actor Max von Sydow in this drama that follows an American journalist and World War II veteran who takes a special interest in a racially motivated murder trial involving a former lover in the Pacific Northwest.
