On September 18, join us for a screening of Summerlight and Then Comes the Night, based on the popular novel by Icelandic author Jón Kalman Stefánsson. The screening will be followed by a film talk between director Elfar Adalsteins and Stefánsson.

This little Icelandic village is brimming with stories, and if you listen closely, it might tell you a few tales. Perhaps the one about the prominent businessman who dreams in Latin and sacrifices a promising career for astronomy and old books.
