Our program for May changed from May 16 to May 9.
Please join us Saturday, May 9 as we discuss the celebration of a Scandinavian Midsommar happening on June 21, 2015 at Old World Wisconsin.

In “Get Ready for Midsommar," we’ll explore the history of Swedish Midsommar celebrations and some of the magic associated with early traditions. Why do we have a “Maypole” in a June celebration? What is the myth of the seven species of flowers? What are the traditional foods of Midsummer? What are the traditional ring dances around the midsommar pole? How do we decorate the maypole?
Hear some of the music of Midsommar. Learn to weave flower crowns. Learn about the game of Kubb. Bring any questions you have about our Midsommar and we’ll answer them for you!
Coffee hour will follow.

Redemption Lutheran Church is at 4057 N. Mayfair Rd. (Hwy. 100, just north of Capitol Dr.) in Wauwatosa, WI.
