Iceland-born violinist Ása Guðjónsdóttir and American guitarist Christopher Ladd are The Amaranth Duo. Gudjonsdottir is a Fulbright scholar, a graduate of Reykjavik Conservatory, Icelandic Academy of the Arts, Stetson University, and the Hartt School of Music.

Ladd is a prize winner of the Appalachian Guitar Festival Solo Competition, American String Teachers Association Competition, and was twice a semi-finalist in the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America International Competition. He currently serves on the faculty of The Hartt School in West Hartford,Connecticutt.
