Kubb is a game for all, and the U.S. Championship is open to everyone: "Kubb unites people and creates peace on Earth."
All ages, skill levels, and experience are welcome.
The U.S National Kubb Championship is the largest kubb tournament outside of Europe. 108 teams are registered for this championship. It is one of three, two-day tournaments in the world, along with the World Championship and the Swedish Championship. It is also the second largest tournament in the world with painted kubbs and kings. The U.S. Championship started in 2007 with 15 teams and 35 players.
Kubb is an old Nordic game. Starting roughly 25 years ago, the game exploded throughout the Nordic countries. Over the past 10 years, kubb has had significant growth in Europe and the U.S. The Upper Midwest is currently home to the majority of recreational and competitive kubb activity in the U.S.
