Come join us for our 75th anniversary!
Occurring in October in odd numbered years, the residents of Lindsborg host a community-wide festival and don traditional Swedish folk costumes to celebrate the Swedish pioneers who settled the Smoky Valley in 1868-1869.
The festival features a grand parade, Swedish folk dancing, arts and crafts, a lavish smörgåsbord, food demonstrations and vendors, unique music and other special entertainment.
The smörgåsbord at this one-of-a-kind event features food prepared by community volunteers using their grandmother's traditional recipes: 6,500 meatballs, 325 pounds of potato sausage, 30 smoked salmon, 60 pounds of pickled herring, 70 loaves of Swedish rye bread, 60 dozen deviled eggs, 45 tea rings, 200 pounds of ostkaka and 30 pounds of coffee are served. There are more than 35 items on the menu. Come celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Svensk Hyllningsfest with great cuisine and culture.
