Haugshøj has a modern sound and modern approach to the jazz guitar playing, but without forgetting the tradition.
Swedish-born flute player Elsa Nilsson's music is profoundly playful and widely influenced. Nilsson has built a solid career and reputation upon her belief that all folk music (including jazz) has a common thread, and that by weaving those threads together, a deeper, more complete understanding among varying cultures can be reached. She highlights this in her compositions by mixing cultural elements to create a sound that is distinctly her own.
Cody Rahn is a New York-based drummer/producer. He holds a BM in Jazz from Seattle's Cornish College of the Arts and currently performs in the US and Europe with various groups across the stylistic spectrum. Performing now with Aly Tadros, Echo Bloom, The Elsa Nilsson Quartet, Stephen Babcock, The Wendy Hackett Band, Mackenzie Shivers and more.
