In collaboration with six cultural institutions from the Nordic Region, the Nordic Heritage Museum is hosting this exciting international Immigration Conference.
A comprehensive program of five sessions with 17 museum professionals and academics from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, and various locations in the United States will explore the impact of Nordic immigration to the Pacific Northwest from the 1850s to the 21st century.
Lectures will present research topics within the field of sociology, museology, design, literature, photography, film, and journalism. Key Note Speaker is Diana Pardu, Chief of Museum Programs at the Statue of Liberty National Monument and the Ellis Island National Immigration Museum.
