?As photographers, we?re slaves to and obsessed with light. The way it flows; the way it morphs a scene from ordinary to extraordinary. These special moments are curated from my travels all over the world and they depict various moments in natural light that have stuck with me?.

Award winning Nigerian-American photographer Lola Akinmade Åkerström,
based in Stockholm, has traveled to roughly 60 countries. Her travel work is represented by National Geographic Creative.

While in South Africa on assignment for National Geographic Channel, Lola was
featured in the vignette ?Through the Lens? which airs on Nat Geo channels across the globe. Her images have appeared in National Geographic Traveller, BBC, CNN and The Guardian, as well as in other high profile publications.
