In 2016, special events will take place across the world to mark 400 years since the death of William Shakespeare ? playwright, poet, actor, and arguably the greatest writer the English language has ever known.

SEST is joining in the celebrations with their tribute to the great Bard: Shakespeare 400!

The programme features a comeback performance of Macbeth, which played to full houses at Musikvalvet Baggen in November, some of Shakespeare?s most fascinating female characters take the stage in the 20-minute performance Angry Shrews and Merry Wives, plus sonnets, tales of the great man?s life and times, audience participation, and even Shakespearean insults! If you are lucky you might even spot the Bard himself lurking in the vaults?

The performance lasts around three hours, including two breaks during which alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee etc. can be purchased in the bar. Please note that payments at Musikvalvet must be in cash or via Swish.

Playing in the historical venue of Musikvalvet Baggen (older than the Bard himself!), the celebrations kick off on Friday the 22nd of April at 7 pm with a performance of Macbeth. Tickets 200:-, students/unemployed/pensioners 170:-

On Saturday and Sunday the 23rd and 24th we invite the audience to the longer programme starting at 7pm on Saturday and matinee at 3pm on Sunday. Tickets 320:-, students/unemployed/pensioners 270:-
