When early immigrants from Sweden arrived in Wisconsin, there was seldom hope of returning to the country of their birth for a visit. In today's world, Sweden is just hours away. Whether it is a trip you are planning or just an armchair dream expedition, join the Swedish American Historical Society of WI, Inc. as we explore Travel in Sweden today.

Sometimes it's a trip to visit family we've never met, or maybe to better understand what our ancestors left behind. Two of our members will tell us about their recent trips to the country of their heritage and we'll see a video or two about Travel in Sweden.

If you have been there, tell us your favorite experience or a favorite place of your trip. If you have pictures or an album of your trip, or a special souvenir you would like to share, bring it along. We'll have a "visit and view table" and time before our coffee hour for you to share. Bring your travel questions; perhaps one of our members may have an answer for you.
