Audition Announcement for the 2016 Christmas Revels: A Nordic Winter Celebration.

The show will feature music, dance and drama from Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland, and it will be seen by 10,000 people over two weekends at Lisner Auditorium in December.

Adults (ages 18+): May 20 and 21 (Children and teens: September 9-11)

Strong singers of all ancestries are invited to audition for the 34th annual Christmas Revels, a festive, fully-staged musical and theatrical production. This year’s show will include music, dance and drama of Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland.

Join a cast of over 100, ages 8 to 85, for one-of-a-kind seasonal celebration and merriment seen by over 10,000 people each December. Eight shows between December 10-18 at GWU Lisner Auditorium in DC.
Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Basses, prepare 2 short audition pieces of your choice without accompaniment – your selection can be from any era or genre with the exception of “pop” music or show tunes. Traditional songs, carols, folk tunes, hymns, and early vocal works are recommended. If you sing in any of the five languages of the Nordic cultures, we would be happy to hear that.
