Kubb Class plus lunch offered by We R Able

Connor Lestrud, a champion Kubb player from the Masse Moro Norwegian language camp near Eau Claire, WI, is the teacher for a Saturday morning class through We R Able. He will give instructions on how to play Kubb, a Viking lawn game from over a thousand years ago. The morning starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Chisago County Senior Center at 38790 6th Ave., North Branch, and continues through lunch. There is a fee to register $7.50-$15, pay what you can.

Kubb can be played by two to 12 participants. There is a king in the middle of the game area, and the goal is to knock it down after knocking down your opponent’s pieces. The game can be played on snow, ice, grass, and asphalt, in large and small areas. In case of inclement weather, the game can be played indoors. For more information and to register please call 320-358-1211.
