Open-air painting from the late 19th-century. This extensive exhibition of paintings from the late 19th-century and the breakthrough of open-air painting looks at the period when artists began painting outdoors, and the variations in natural light became an essential element of their landscapes and scenes. The exhibition presents some 200 works, mainly by Swedish artists, but also a few by the French artists who inspired them.
