Join a bus tour that leaves Madison, WI at 8:30 a.m. to take advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of an on-board tour of this fantastic replica Viking ship.

It set sail from Haugesund on April 26 and made its way across the Atlantic via Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland, arriving at Quebec City on the St. Lawrence River on June 15. It then encountered unexpected surprises with extraordinary fees associated with its travel through the Great Lakes in U.S. Funding has been set up by the Sons of Norway (see https://fundraising.sonsofnorway.com/fundraise/team?ftid=84191) and the Draken Harald is on course to make it to Green Bay as scheduled!

It will be in Green Bay August 5-7. Join us on a Badger Bus at Dutch Mill Park & Ride by 8:30 a.m. and arrive in Green Bay before noon on Saturday, August 6. Throughout the afternoon on the festival grounds (until 4 p.m.) you will have access to: food concessions; free live music, other entertainment, and historical presentations; the North Coast Marine Ship Yard; and the Maritime Marketplace. But the highlight of the day, of course, will be a tour of the the Draken - as well as tours of the other ships - plus an optional 90-minute “sailaway” in the harbor on one of them, the Appledore IV.
