Lucia is one of the most iconic and beloved Swedish traditions. Celebrated in the dark of December, this tradition brings light and warmth, with a procession of children dressed up as Lucia and her attendants, pepparkakor, star boys, tomtar, folk dancers and more, singing songs together.
Drop in for our family-friendly Lucia Fest on December 3, with Lucia processions at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. In addition to the Lucia celebrations, the Christmas Market will be open, offering your favorite holiday deli items, Christmas decorations, gifts, and the SWEA bakery tables. The Swedish Christmas Café will be selling holiday foods and sweets for your refreshment.
Admission is $10/non-members, $7/members, $4/ages 4-12, free/under age 4.
Reservations are not required, but tickets may be purchased in advance on our website: www.americanswedish.org.
