Mixed media on paper: The erotic relation between woman and man

Artist statement:
I'm interested in the fragile side of the erotic relation between woman and man, here expressed in an abstract manner. Simplicity and reduction of input are my lodestars. Young children’s own drawings have profoundly inspired my work.

Biography: Born in Sweden, Stig Knutsson studied painting both at the Gerlesborgsskolan in Stockholm and in Italy plus part-time graphic art at the Graphic Studio in Falun during a long period. His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in Sweden since 1972. Scholarships have enabled him to implement research trips.

Stig Knutsson holds a Ph.D. in regional planning from the Royal Institute of Technology, a B.A. of Science in Social Work and an M.A. in pedagogics from Stockholm University.
He is a novelist and has been working for many years as a senior lecturer at Stockholm University.
