Nordic Table Demonstration: Semla, the Swedish Cream Puff
Perhaps you’ve eaten a cardamom bun, but have you ever tried one stuffed with almond paste and whipped cream? Historically, the semla was served only on Fettisdagen (Fat Tuesday) in preparation for Lenten fasting.
Today, the semla is enjoyed all around Eastertime and is known as one of Sweden’s extra-indulgent fika treats. Join Eva Sabet of the Swedish Crown Bakery and discover her version of the classic semla.
