Ready, set, make!
ASI invites you to a gathering for makers, painters, crafters, carvers, weavers and creators. Whether you’re a pro or a weekend DIY-er, Great Makers Exchange is your chance to get a little messy, make something beautiful and connect with fellow craft enthusiasts.
From carving to painting, to pottery and weaving, craft experts from across the region will lead hands-on workshops throughout the day. For the less-crafty inclined, artists will be on-site offering demonstrations and original works to take home. Workshop and class registration will open on June 1.
The Great Makers Exchange features and includes:
Two-hour craft workshops in a variety of craft mediums. Your chance to try something new!
The Makers Market – engage with artists & organizations making and selling their wares
The Young Makers Studio – drop-in craft activities for youth and families
Admission to the American Swedish Institute
Guided tours of the historic Turnblad Mansion – a maker’s mecca full of ornate wood carvings, textiles and original artwork
Great Makers-inspired menu offerings available all day at FIKA, ASI’s award-winning café.
